Born in New York. Enlisted in the 125th New York Infantry for three years at Grafton, Rensselaer County, New York. Mustered in as a Private in Company A on 27 Aug 1862. Surrendered 15 Sep 1862, and paroled 16 Sep 1862 at Harper's Ferry, Virginia. Promoted to Corporal prior to Apr 1865. Mustered out with his Company near Alexandria, Virginia. A member of John Granzo Post No. 198 of Seymour, Outagamie County, Wisconsin. Transferred to Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington on 12 Nov 1910. Died in Tacoma, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery.
