Daniel Doty was born in Warren County, Indiana to Jospeh Doty and Effie Thompson. He married Amanda Dollarhide on 20 May 1855 in Indiana and to this union were born: William, Wallace, Alma, Allan, Elmer, Morton, Jesse. Daniel enlisted at the age of 25 at Kent Station, Indiana. Occupation: Farmer. He was a member of Gen. Milroy Post No. 62 of Latah, Spokane County, Washington. He served the Post as Senior Vice Commander in in 1891. He died in Latah, Washington.
