He resided at Pierce County, Washington by 1891 where he was a member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma. He married Pauline Lanterman at Olympia, Thurston County, Washington in 1894. The 1900 U.S. Census lists him as a resident of Contra Costa County, California. He lived at Decatur Island, San Juan County, Washington before settling at Anacortes, Skagit County, Washington about 1907. He was a member of General Emory Post No. 68 at Anacortes. He died at Anacortes, Washington.
