Summary
Born at Breage, Cornwall, England, he immigrated to the United States in 1848, settling at Linden, Iowa County, Wisconsin. He married Sarah Lucinda Bump, 20 Sep 1858 at Richland County, Wisconsin. A resident of Bristol, Kenosha County, Wisconsin when he enlisted. Mustered out at Austin, Travis County, Texas. After his service he returned to Wisconsin, but by 1870 was a resident of Swan City, Saline County, Nebraska where he farmed. He was appointed postmaster at Goldrinsey, Saline County, Nebraska, 31 Dec 1872. By 1880 he was a resident of Thayer County, Nebraska where he farmed. By 1891 he was appointed postmaster at Pebble, Columbia County, Oregon. He relocated to Prosser, Benton County, Washington by 1901. He died at Prosser, Washington.
