Franklin B. Morse was born in New York to Ahira/Ahirah Morse and Rose Ann Laffe(y). He married Mary A. Holbrook on 14 Nov 1869 in Walla Walla (children: Charles F, Cara D. Morse Stanfield). On 15 Mar 1900, he married Emma J. Weatherman in Walla Walla. Franklin enlisted at the age of 18 in Freedom township, Clinton, Hamilton County, Iowa and was mustered out at Little Rock, Arkansas.
