Born in New York. A resident of Oak Creek, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin when he enlisted in the 35th Wisconsin Infantry. Mustered out at Brownsville, Texas. A member of Custer Post No. 6 of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. Admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Sawtelle, Los Angeles County, California on 21 Jan 1915, and discharged at his own request on 4 Mar 1915. Re-admitted on 26 Dec 1917, and discharged at his own request on 12 Jan 1918. Died at his home in Tacoma, Washington. He is buried in a G.A.R. section of the cemetery.
