Reduced from Sergeant to Private on 19 Sep 1862. Absent sick in a hospital at Vicksburg, Mississippi on 15 Jul 1864. Mustered out with his Company at Columbus, Ohio on 2 Dec 1864. A member of Donelson Post No. 26 of Sheridan, Yamhill County, Oregon. Died in Los Angeles County, California.
