Admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Sawtelle, Los Angeles County, California on 11 May 1890. Died at Toledo, Oregon while on furlough from the Soldiers Home. According to the Soldiers Home records he died on 4 Sep 1892, while the two applications for a headstone states he died on 8 Sep 1892. Military and pension records spell his last name as "Hagan".
