Transferred to Company E, 7th New Jersey Infantry on 6 Nov 1864. The Regiment marched in the Grand Review in Washington, DC on 23 May 1865. Mustered out near Washington, DC on 17 Jul 1865. A member of Gen. Lyon Post No. 26 of Toledo, Lincoln County, Oregon. On 23 Dec 1909 admitted to the Oregon State Soldiers Home, Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon and discharged at his own request on 17 Jun 1919. Re-admitted to the Oregon State Soldiers Home on 26 Sep 1919 and discharged at his own request on 23 Feb 1925. On 21 May 1925 admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers at Sawtelle, Los Angeles County, California and discharged at his own request on 26 Jan 1926. Re-admitted to the Oregon State Soldiers Home on 25 Jan 1926 and discharged at his own request on 11 Nov 1927. Re-admitted to the Oregon State Soldiers Home for the final time on 16 Jan 1928. Died in the Soldiers Home Hospital, Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon.
