Mustered in as a Musician in Company B on 15 Nov 1864. Mustered out at Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of Luther C. Ladd Post No. 17 of Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington. Served the Post as Officer of the Day in 1914, Post Commander from 1916 to 1918, and Quartermaster in 1919 and 1923. Died in Puyallup, Washington.
