Admitted to the Washington State Soldiers Home at Orting, Pierce County, Washington on 15 May 1902. Died in Tacoma, Washington. The year of birth is based on his application to the Soldiers Home and age when he joined the 5th Vermont Infantry. His death record indicates he was born in 1846 and his private headstone indicates 1845.
