From Oct 1862 to Jun 1863 on extra duty with the Quartermaster Department as a teamster driving a cart. Jul 1863 detached service at Fort Hoskins, Oregon. Aug 1863 work in route to Siletz Indian Reservation Blockhouse, Oregon. On 16 Dec 1863 re-enlisted as a Veteran Volunteer for three years at Fort Hoskins, Oregon. Dec 1863 detached service at Siletz Indian Reservation Blockhouse, Oregon. 25 Mar 1864 to 23 Sep 1864 at Fort Hoskins, Oregon. According to the Official Records, on 31 Dec 1864 and 30 Jun 1865 Company D was stationed at Fort Yamhill, Oregon. Mustered out with his Company at the Presidio, San Francisco, California on 19 Dec 1865. A member of Gen. Lyon Post No. 26 of Toledo, Lincoln County, Oregon. Served the Post as Officer of the Day in 1887.
