Mustered in as a Private in Company F at Salem, Oregon on 18 Jan 1865. From 20 Jul 1865 to Aug 1865 on detached service in the field. Sep-Oct 1865 at Fort Dalles, Oregon. 10 Oct 1865 on Siletz River, Oregon expedition. Jan-Apr 1866 at Fort Vancouver, Washington Territory. From 1 May 1866 to Jun 1866 at Fort Dalles, Oregon. Mustered out with his Company at Fort Vancouver, Washington Territory on 20 Jul 1866. A member of A. J. Smith Post No. 17 of Drain, Douglas County, Oregon. Served the Post as Surgeon in 1884. Died in Sandy Creek, Oswego County, New York.
